Hi Ian well here goes! My fathers name is Herbert Kerr was Gillison (Long story) to cut it a little short his fathers name was George Herbert Kerr thought he was married to Alice Kerr but turns out not married (gosh) her name was Ellen Alice Gillison from West Derby Lancashire were they both lived. Georges mum and dads name from his birth certificate was Joseph Kerr b. 1846 and Phoebe Kerr (Irvin) b. 1845-1908. His fathers name was William Kerr Mothers name Isabella Kerr (Thompson) and Phoebes fathers name was Charles Irvin Mothers name Ann Irvin (Jones).Joseph and Phoebe as you know had lots of children Annie T b. 1859 Robert J b. 1873 William J b. 1875 Ada Kerr b 1878 Chgarles J b. 1883 George Kerr b. 1885 and Gertrude b 1889. I have the info from censuses from 1871 to 1901. 1871 Joseph lived with his brother Robert, 1881 lived at 14 Mary Terrace, 1891 this is were I had lots of problems it has taken me months on this as ada,Annie,Charles, Robert, Willie etc are known as Kerl - George how ever is known as Kere, then in 1901 which I have just found out also under wrong name but we are there on the census but only Joseph, Phoebe, Ada, Charles and Gertrude. Where do you come in all this? |
